Born in Krakow Kasia began her art education in the High School of Fine Arts, followed by studies in the
Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. In 1987 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, where
she received her masters in painting and printmaking. For the last fifteen years, she has been living and
working in the United States. She presented her art in 16 individual exhibitions in USA, Poland, Czech
Republic, Spain and Japan and in more than 40 group shows, mostly in USA and in Europe. Examples of her
works can be found in the public collections, such as Harvard University in Boston, the Humboldt
University in Berlin, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Osaka, as well as in privet collections in the USA,
Japan, Germany, Portugal and Poland.

Generally, the artist undertakes the eternal problem of transition (the passing from birth to death, from
creation to disintegration, from construction to destruction), including objective and subjective reasons
of the deterioration of the natural environment; a complete freedom and liberty versus restrictions in the
shaping of individual human fate; a human being in the context of contemporary genetics; finally, she
addresses the problems of transplantation medicine. She reaches out to the traditional recipes in
manufacturing paint; she uses various materials vulnerable to external influence in her creative processes,
and techniques dating from the ancient eras, such as encaustics; she provokes the viewer by her artistic
installations; she combines numerous printing techniques to create uniform effect. All this is continuous
striving of an artist to achieve a maximum unity of the artistic technique and the artistic theme.
